I spent a night in the capital, Bandar Seri Bagawan, transitting from the Malaysian states which surround it, Sabah and Sarawak. Arriving without a transit visa, I was lucky to be let in.
While Kampong Ayer was an interesting place for a wander, and the night market good for a feed, Brunei is no must see destination. Especially if you are watching the pennies.
How I ended up drunk and dancing in a building site dorm is a story for another day, though.

There was a good night market. And Kampong Ayer was good for a wander. But I wouldn't go out of my way to visit again.
