“TRULY ASIA” was their slogan, and fair enough. Orang utan, proboscis monkeys and elephants roam the island of Borneo. Its tropical islands are arguably “better” than the more raucous ones found in Thailand. There’s old Chinese towns with exceptional food, old colonial towns like Georgetown and Malacca. A multicultural mix of Indian, Tamil, Chinese, Malay, means there’s great variety in the food, the culture, the celebrations.
