VIETNAM

I spent two years in Vietnam and Cambodia, teaching English for a living, while I photographed and motorcycled, and generally had a good time.
Vietnam was trying to shift its image as that country that used to have a war. Slowly the communist government had opened up new areas to tourism, and the economy to foreign capital. The results were not always pretty.
There are some utterly stunning parts of the country, from sandy beaches to rolling hills and wide green rice fields.
Most of my time was spent in that madcap city forever linked to the war, as well as the fertile Mekong Delta. I never made it into the north.
