ONE OF THE LATE 20th century miracle economies, in a generation, South Korea went from the rubble of war, to a manufacturing powerhouse.
Regrettably, I only popped over from Japan once, for a 3 day trip. People were helpful and friendly, food was superb.
I would love to get back, out to the mountains, hiking , eating, seeing the old castles and towns. And take some better pictures.
Korea seems to slip off people’s travel radar, which is a shame. Do yourself a flavour!

Gyeongbokgung also known as Gyeongbokgung Palace dates from 1395, and is the main historical monument in the South Korean capital, Seoul.

South Korea is high on my list of countries to get back to. I really liked Seoul, the food, the people, the streets. Outside the capital, there are apparently mountain ranges, beaches, castles and more.

I only visited South Korea for a long weekend from Tokyo, visiting friends, so didn't do a lot of sightseeing.
